Experience
I am a certified teacher who currently teaches first grade at a charter school in WNC. I have tutored in after school programs for the past year in math and reading. I have also taught at a science museum for two years. I love to share my passion of learning with my students. I am a life-long learner, meaning that I will continue to be taught my entire life- always learning new things. I will admit that I am not a master at any skill because I will always continue to learn. I also love to make up educational games and conduct experiments, no matter how messy. I am well versed in Singapore Math, which teaches students to master skills in math, not just memorize them. This involves teaching multiple methods of math to see which one fits each students.

Hobbies
I love to research topics that I am not familiar with. I usually go on tangents of looking up crazy scientific theories. I have a huge interest in space and astronomy. I also love to enjoy the outdoors by going rafting, hiking and zip-lining. I am also an avid rock collector! I have an extraordinary amount of knowledge when it comes to rocks and minerals (thanks to my two years as a museum educator). I also love to draw and paint, which comes in handy when it comes to crafts and teaching through art.
