Experience
High School Spanish teacher for 15 years. Taught Spanish Adult Continuing Education classes for 2 years at Indiana University and Purdue University. Have tutored on and off for 15 years. Also taught ESL for 10 years. Interpreter for Pan Am Games. Worked with the Bilingual Migrant Education Program in Indiana for 8 years. I love to teach, whether it is Spanish or sea kayaking (Level 4 ACA Sea Kayak Instructor in the past). I was one class short of a double major in college so I am familiar with college foreign language courses. Most of my adult life has been spent in jobs where Spanish was necessary or at least helpful such as life as a Paramedic where Spanish was very helpful for interpreting. Voted most Influential Teacher for 3 years in a row at high school level.
