Andrew B.
Private tutor in Asheville, NC
Education
I obtained my PhD and M.A. from Princeton University in atmospheric and oceanic science (applied mathematics) and a M.S in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma. I am originally from Australia where I received my bachelors degree from Monash University, majoring in math and atmospheric science.
Experience
I credit my interest and abilities in math and science to a couple of pivotal middle and high school teachers that encouraged me and inspired a curiosity that has lasted to this day. While I enjoy high-level research and teaching at college/grad level, I prefer to privately tutor students in those formative teenage years where I feel that someone with a love of math and science can really make a difference.

Hobbies
I have a fascination with severe weather (hurricanes and tornadoes, etc.) and my current research uses numerical models to investigate these storm systems in order to better understand their behavior and the impact they have on our planet. Like many other Australians, I love traveling the world and meeting new people, and I've been fortunate enough to visit all 50 states while completing grad school in the United States. My wife and I have recently moved to Asheville and we're enjoying exploring everything this mountain town has to offer.
